Mage Hand March Madness

It’s the biggest clash of champions the game has ever seen!
Vote for your favorite class and you could win!

Cast your vote and win big!

This month, we’re pitting Mage Hand Press base classes against each other and the core thirteen by popularity in a single-elimination bracket. It’s the ultimate battle of magic vs. martial, arcane vs. divine, third party vs. first party!

Classes compete for your votes in a head-to-head match! Cast your vote using the Airtable link you’ll find here, as well as on our Instagram or Discord. A new voting link will appear for each new set of matches. How you vote is up to you: you could choose the class you think would win in a fight, the one that’s more fun to play, or the one that’s had a biggest impact on games you’ve played!

Vote during any match and you’ll be entered to win a Complete Class PDF of your choice! Five winners will be announced on Thursday, April 17th, during the Mage Hand Round Table event on our Discord.

That’s not the only way to win. Choose your ultimate winner before the first round begins at 12 p.m. Central on Tuesday, March 18. If you pick the winner, you’ll also be entered to win EVERY Complete Class PDF we’ve ever released!

This tournament of champions will pit 15 Mage Hand Press base classes against 13 core classes in D&D until the championship game on April 8.

You can also download a printable bracket and play along during NCAA’s March Madness!

Tournament Schedule

New matchups are released every Tuesday and Thursday from March 18 to April 7, 2025, meaning our championship match will happen the same night as the end of NCAA March Madness. Giveaway winners will be notified by April 10!

Seeds

Classes were seeded according to relative popularity, then adjusted to provide the most interesting matchups. Core classes started with user data released by D&D Beyond in 2020, and Mage Hand Press classes started with our website traffic data.

There are 15 Mage Hand Press classes in the bracket and 13 core classes. To make a full bracket of 32, the four highest seeded classes were given a “by” for their first round: Witch, Warmage, Fighter, and Gunslinger. That means we’ll have a Sweet 16 in the second round!

Here’s the seeds as they stand in the bracket. Do you agree with our picks?
