Barbarian Subclass for Dark Matter
Rip and Tear Across the ‘Verse
Driven by a bottomless Rage, Dreadnoughts tear through futuristic battlefields with unparalleled brutality. A Barbarian following this path blasts apart aliens like a tank and charges through mechademons like a freight train, ripping and tearing until only they remain.
Level 3: Brutal Gunplay
When you make an attack with a Ranged weapon against a target within 20 feet of yourself, you can use Strength, rather than Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. Additionally, you can use the mastery properties of Ranged weapons, in addition to Melee weapons.
Level 3: Glory Kill
Once on each of your turns while your Rage is active, when you reduce an enemy to 0 Hit Points or score a Critical Hit against an enemy, you regain Hit Points equal to 1d6 + your Rage Damage bonus. Immediately after, you can move up to your Speed and make a melee attack with a weapon or Unarmed Strike (no action required)
Level 6: Shock Trooper
Whenever you make a melee attack on your turn against a creature you can see, you can lunge up to 15 feet toward your target before making the attack. Doing so doesn’t spend movement or provoke Opportunity Attacks. You can perform this movement even if it causes you to travel through the air, though you fall after making the attack.
Level 10: Ultraviolence
When you activate your Rage, you can choose one of the following benefits of your choice. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a Long Rest.
Berserk. Until the start of your next turn, you can roll 2d12 in place of the normal damage of your
Unarmed Strike.
Invulnerability. Until the start of your next turn, when you’re hit by an attack, reduce the damage dealt to you by that attack to 1. This damage can’t be reduced to 0.
Quad Damage. Until the start of your next turn, your Rage Damage bonus is increased to +8.
Level 14: Vicious Rampage
You can use your Glory Kill more than once on each of your turns. When you hit a creature with the extra attack of your Glory Kill, the target takes an extra 1d10 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon or Unarmed Strike.
