Druid Subclass for Dark Matter
Shape-Shift into an Adaptable Machine
Druids in the Circle of Configuration and shun all ties to nature, aligning themselves instead with Constructs and machines. Some do this because Construct forms offer superior strength and adaptability compared to those of Beasts. Others, however, believe that Constructs represent a higher form of life, for Constructs are ageless, designed with a clear intent, and are free of hunger, thirst, and disease.
Level 3: Machine Code
You know Machine Code, the native code-language of machines. Due to this language, you know the Technomancy cantrip.
Level 3: Circle of Configuration Spells
When you reach a Druid level specified in the Circle of Configuration Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared. New spells in Dark Matter are marked with an asterisk (*).

Level 3: Construct Form
You gain the ability to assume the form of machines, granting you the following benefits.
Construct Form. Using Wild Shape, you can shape-shift into a Construct Form, using the Construct Form stat block, which doesn’t count against your
known forms.
Configuration. When you assume your Construct Form, choose one of the following configurations: Juggernaut, Mobile, or Turret. You can switch your
configuration as a Bonus Action.
Temporary Hit Points. You gain a number of Temporary Hit Points equal to three times your Druid level.
Features. Your Construct Form improves and gains new features when you reach certain Druid levels.

| Evasion (Level 10, Mobile Only). If the construct is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Dexterity saving throw to take only half damage, the construct instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the save and only half damage if it fails. It can’t use this trait if it has the Incapacitated condition.
Mettle (Level 10, Juggernaut Only). If the construct is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a Constitution saving throw to take only half damage, the construct instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the save and only half damage if it fails. It can’t use this trait if it has the Incapacitated condition. Tenacity (Level 10, Turret Only). The construct has Advantage on saving throws it makes to avoid or end a condition on itself. Flight (Level 14, Mobile Only). The construct has a Fly Speed of 50 feet. Fortified (Level 14, Juggernaut). The construct has Resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage. Laser Targeting (Level 14, Turret Only). The construct has Advantage on ranged attack rolls. |

| Multiattack (Level 5). The construct makes additional attacks in any combination when you reach Druid levels 5 (2 attacks), 11 (3 attacks), and 17 (4 attacks).
Slam. Melee Attack Roll: Bonus equals your spell attack modifier, reach 5 ft. Hit: 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier Bludgeoning damage. Photon Cannon (Turret Only). Ranged Attack Roll: Bonus equals your spell attack modifier, range 60/240 ft. Hit: 2d6 + your Wisdom modifier Radiant damage. |

Level 6: Speaker of Steel
If you fail an Intelligence (Data or Technology) check or an ability check made to interact with a Construct, you can expend one use of your Wild Shape to reroll it with a bonus equal to your Druid level. You must use the new roll.
Level 10: Prismatic Module
When you use your Wild Shape to shape-shift, you gain Resistance to one of the following damage types of your choice while you are shape-shifted: Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison, or Thunder.
Level 14: Mecha Configuration
When you assume the Juggernaut configuration of your Construct Form, you can shape-shift into an empowered Mecha configuration, granting you the following
benefits. This configuration lasts for 10 minutes or until you dismiss it on your turn (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you
finish a Long Rest. You can also restore your use of it by expending a level 5+ spell slot (no action required).
Size. Your size becomes Large, if it was smaller.
Mighty. You have Advantage on Strength checks and saving throws.
Mecha Slam. Your melee attacks deal an extra 1d6 Force damage on a hit.
Omni-Configuration. You can use the traits and actions of the Juggernaut, Mobile, and Turret configurations.
